A Much Needed Third Cup of Coffee at Three PM

First, a poem I just read - again, I've read it several times before as well. It's rather funny!

One Bright Day in the Middle of the Night

I come before you, to stand behind you,
To tell you something I know nothing about.
Admission is free, so pay at the door;
Pull up a chair and sit on the floor:

Early this morning, late last night,
Two dead men rose up to fight.
Back to back they faced each other,
Drew their swords and shot one 'nother.

A stone-deaf sheriff heard the noise,
And came and killed those two dead boys.
The mute psychotic shrieked in fright,
With words of joy at this ghastly sight.

Now if you doubt this lie is true?
Ask the blind man; he saw it, too.

As said, it's 3pm and I'm haivng my third cup of coffee today. My work meeting was cancelled so I just went home. I'm sitting outside with my coffee, my dad's taking a break from his wood cutting weekend work, having a root beer, and my brother's sitting here too with some ice tea - which I really want as well as some strawberries! - and mother is also having coffee. We're all having chocolate covered cookies and peanut cake. Some summer day in May, eh?

I'm supposed to be working on my media all day test that I'll be having tomorrow. The preparation sheet that I got looks like this:

Topic:
1. Media between cultures

2. Media analysis

In the preparation time you are to:
- Read up on media's role in a multi cultural and globalized world
- Study how differend device are used in media texts to communicate messages

Anybody have any idea on what angle to attack this from first?

Now I'm on cup 3.5 and will resume my school work before Boyfriend arrives at about 4.30 and we'll grill for dinner at my place at 5 at the earliest...

Enjoy the sun!
