Q&A (Not the Original Title of "Slumdog Millionaire")

If you have more questions after reading this, feel free to leave them in the comment section below! All questions will be translated and answered in English here on my blog (=

Why do you blog anonimously?

Because when I first started blogging, I liked the idea of having a place where I could express all of my opinions without anybody knowing whose they were. I don't care so much anymore now, I share the blog entries on my Facebook wall when I post new ones and such, but I still don't want to reveal my face on here. Not yet anyways. I have a plan though...

Where does your blog name come from?

Which one of them? As far as I know, there are three. "Secretlifeofthenorwegianteenager" which is the URL, comes from a TV series called Secret Life of the American Teenager - so I just added my twist to it. There are also "Thoughts of a Teenager" and "A Teenager With Thoughts", which are just there to replace my actual name, which I won't reveal yet either. Have a plan for that as well, though!

Why do you blog in English?

A lot of people have asked me that. The explanation is simple yet not so simple at the same time. There are many reasons, actually. First and foremost, I like blogging in English to maintain my English. It is nearly perfect, I've aced all of my English classes the past few years, and anything below the highest possible grade is out of the question for me. Yes, I am a perfectionist! (=Furthermore, since I was an exchange student, I have readers from all over the world, and English is the lingua franca, the common language, and therefore it's natural that I blog in English. And last but not least, I feel like I can express myself better in English, and I consider it my second native language, it's just as natural for me as blogging in Norwegian would be!

Why don't you blog more regularly?

I don't like the "rule" that to be a "real blogger" you have to blog at least three times a day. I blog when I feel like it, when I'm inspired, when I have something to say. "Oh my god, my mother just bought me the sweater I've been wanting! <end of entry>" is not  a real blog, and if that's the kind of blogging you do, then I don't consider you a blogger, sorry.

How long have you been blogging?

Well... I began blogging on my MySpace page, when I was 14 years old. I also had a MyYearbook page where I blogged some. I had a blog when I was in the USA, which I am no longer writing on. I made this blog when I returned from my stay there, actually while I was on vacation up on a mountain with my family last summer. I plan on writing my final entry on this blog on my 20th birthday, as I will no longer be a teenager then. So keep reading! ;)

What is your favorite color?

Blue! As you can see on my blog... ;) It's my alltime favorite. When I was little, I had blue curtains with Barbie on in a pink heart! I like other colors too; green is a pretty color, and I'm also a huge fan of purple and gold. But blue is definitely... It stands out among all of the colors. My eyes are blue. The ocean and the sky are blue.

Can you say something about the quote in your current header?

Yes I can. Boyfriend had (or still has?) this quote on his msn nick, and that was the first time I heard it, when I was talking to him on there in December not long after we first met. I don't know if he's even aware of it, but I sort of collect quotes. When he saw my new header yesterday, he accused me of stealing his quote, because he feels like it sums up his entire life in so few words. I said, "that makes two of us." Without going into too many details, I was bullied when I was a kid; for my body, my hair, my clothes, my good grades even. Kids can be so mean. Nicola Tesla's words are a perfect describtion of my life - they may have my past and even my present, but when I grow up, there ain't nothing they can do to stop me, nor hold me down in any kind of way.

Do you have a job?

I do, I work at a grocery store named Kiwi, which is a really green store. I work a couple of days a week, since I am also a full time student. I'm wearing the hoodie from my uniform right now, it's the most comfortable hoodie you could ever imagine, unfortunately I couldn't find a picture and I'm too lazy to take one :P

What do you plan to do for the rest of your life?

I actually don't have a future plan. I have a right-now plan. That's a quote by Mark Sloan from the TV series "Grey's Anatomy", in my opinion one of the best TV series ever made! (=Right now, my plan is to graduate high school with above 5 as my average grade. I can do that. I had 4.8 last semester, I've had 5.3 before, and as of right now I know I have three 6s which were 5s last semester, and I refuse to believe I've dropped to more 4s than I had (I had two, and I believe one of  them has turned into a 5. The remaining 4 would be in PE which I'll be more than happy with as long as it doesn't drop further). Then my plan is to go to community college and study "Backpack Photography" - a backpacking and photography class in one. I have no plans beyond May of next year, but right now that is fine with me!

Yup, I am a drug addict.More precisely, a coffee addict. Caffeine, which is the drug found in coffee, is the most common drug on the planet. Caffeine is a drug that stimulates the central nervous system. Caffeine makes people more alert, less drowsy, and improves coordination. Combined with certain pain relievers or medicines for treating migraine headache, caffeine makes those drugs work more quickly and effectively. Caffeine alone can also help relieve headaches. Antihistamines are sometimes combined with caffeine to counteract the drowsiness that those drugs cause. Caffeine is also sometimes used to treat other conditions, including breathing problems in newborns and in young babies after surgery.
